MAC Block Proposal
Portland, OR
School Work - 2015
Commend Pass and Archived
An empty site, situated in the Goose Hollow neighborhood, was previously utilized as an urban park. Developers proposed constructing a mixed use building that covers the entire site, removing its original character. The proposal questions how we could reinvent typical housing buildings and introduce nature vertically. The outcome creates healthy living environments while encouraging density.
Garden paths wrap around a lattice structure creating small urban “neighborhoods” with layers of transparency.
